Venice AC Repair for the Island and the Mainland
Venice ranges from Gulf-front homes on Venice Island to inland neighborhoods along Jacaranda Boulevard and South Venice. We repair and maintain central air conditioning and heat pumps in all of it, about 25 miles up the road from North Port.

Island homes versus mainland homes
Venice Island is the part of the city cut off from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway and reached by bridges. Homes there sit close to the Gulf, so outdoor units pick up salt, need more frequent coil cleaning and often show corrosion before or around the 10 year mark. On a replacement we offer coastal-rated coils.
East of the waterway, South Venice and Venice Gardens are unincorporated Sarasota County neighborhoods, while homes inside city limits are permitted through the City of Venice. Adam pulls the permit on every replacement either way. The AC works hard everywhere here: Venice has a humid subtropical climate with a long, wet summer.
Venice AC FAQs
Do you go out to Venice Island?+
Yes. Venice Island and the rest of the city are in our service area, about 25 miles from North Port. Text Adam for availability.
Who issues AC permits in South Venice?+
South Venice and Venice Gardens are unincorporated, so Sarasota County handles permits there. Homes inside Venice city limits go through the City of Venice. Adam pulls the permit on every replacement.
What is a reasonable thermostat setting for a Venice summer?+
ENERGY STAR suggests 78 degrees when you are home. If the house feels clammy at that setting, humidity is the real problem and the system should be checked.
Can you service my Nokomis or Casey Key home?+
Yes. Nokomis is just north of Venice, and Adam works all the keys around Southwest Florida, Casey Key included. Text (941) 661-4893 for availability.
Simple habits that keep a Venice system healthy
Venice's median age is 69.8, and many owners simply want a system that is easy to live with. These basics go a long way:
- Change or clean the filter every month or two during the cooling season.
- Keep the thermostat steady instead of making big swings.
- Keep shrubs and furniture at least 2 feet from the outdoor unit.
- Book a professional tune-up once a year, ideally in spring. Adam offers the Stone Cold Maintenance Agreement if you would rather not keep track.
- Consider a surge protector for the outdoor unit, since Florida power surges shorten capacitor life.
